X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a legitimately bad movie. While fans thought that X-Men: The Last Stand was destined to be the worst of the franchise, Origins completely took it off the hook. Fortunately the franchise has managed to rebound since, putting out the surprisingly fantasticX-Men: First Class and now we have in production The Wolverine, a solo film for the superhero that is a sequel in spirit to Origins. Why do I say. "in spirit?" Because even the sequel is doing its best to distance itself from the first movie. Hugh Jackman, who will be making his sixth appearance as Wolverine (a record), has told Total Film magazine (via The Coventry Telegraph) that The Wolverine will be operating as its own separate thing.
